All in one day!

Taggie Blankets

To all of you out there who have little one's I wanted to share with you these wonderful taggie blankets....and when I say blankets I mean blankets big enough to cover your little one not just a tiny square they can hold on to. Those of you who don't know what taggie blankets are here is a picture of the one I had made for my little man.

These are great for enhancing a child's development and sense of security by offering tactile, visual and developmental stimulation that soothes and comforts. By focusing on the “whole child”, it positively impacts a child’s emotional health. A good friend of mine was wonderful in helping me out, by making this blanket for me. I had been looking for a blanket big enough to cover my little one but the biggest taggie I was able to find was 12 X 12 and they wanted 24.95 (before shipping) for it. This blanket itself is 30 X 30 and I was able to pick out the exact fabric color, texture and theme that I wanted.

Also unique to her blankets is the fact that she adds the tags to the inside of the blanket for your little enjoyment. Most taggie blankets only have the tags around the outside. If you are interested in getting one of these blankets made for you little one please feel free to contact my friend at: smgraham82@yahoo.com You can either pick out the fabric yourself and send it to her or just give her an idea of what you are looking for....color, print, material, design etc. Her prices are as follows:

32 X 32 : $20 plus fabric cost

16 X 16 : $15 plus fabric cost

8 X 8 : $10 plus fabric cost

Please email her with any questions you may have. I know my little one loves his blanket and yours will also.

All in 1 day

Well here begins our vacation fun. Day one we decided to visit the Holocaust museum in Washington DC. Its not really a kid friendly place to visit although there is one area called Daniels story where kids can walk thru the life of a little boy Daniel. You go thru his house all the way thru to when he entered a concentration camp to the end of the war. The kids can see and touch different objects like his bed, toys, etc and they have activities through out like finding objects Daniels hidden. It was pretty neat.

From the Holocaust museum we walked towards the Momument (or as I used to call it as a child "the big pencil". Took one quick look and then moved on. We stopped off to visit the World War II memorial on our way to the Jefferson memorial...and yes we are still walking! We did take a break to feed some ducks and watch a family of geese for a few minutes. The girls loved it....we had a hard time getting them away. At one point in time I was feeding them out crackers out of my hands. One got brave enough and went to grab some food from L's hand...the only problem was she didn't have anything in her hand so the goose just got a taste of her fingers. Of course they were both a little puzzled, L just kept looking at her hand and then back to the goose and the goose had the same expression of what is going on here, your suppose to be feeding me!

After pursuading the kids to leave we headed on over to the Jefferson memorial. Of course everyone was tired and cranky at this point but I did get a couple of quick snapshots that turned out good. So all in all it was a great day, except for the miles and miles of walking we did I think everyone had fun!

We are home!

Well for those of you who have missed us we are finally home! YEAH! Our planned week visit to family turned into an impromptu three week stay! But it was nice visiting family, relaxing and last but not least watching cable!!! For those of you who don't know me....we do not have cable, therefore we do not get any TV reception at all. So when I get a chance to watch cable you will not see me passing up the chance LOL. The kids loved visiting the zoo and the museums...I'm pretty sure that was what all the whining was about...and the airshow was a hit....or maybe it was the fact that they got to sit on the roof of daddy's truck....SHHH don't tell daddy! Come back soon and visit us as I am sure I will be posting lots of pictures from our vacation and they funny hilarious stories that goes along with them.
