A little crazy around here.
I can't believe hubby has been gone a month already. It seems like the time is flying by. Maybe because we have been so super busy....so here's a real quick fly by of what has been going on here:
M started kindergarden (wahoo) and seems to really like it. She even rides the bus and walks home from the bus stop by herself. Well okay the bus stop is only two houses away but still that's big news for a five year old! LOL
Baby C is growing, growing, growing! He turns one in a couple of days and I can't believe that its been a year since he was born. He's crawling like a champ now and always speeds to get outside when anyone opens the door. Besides that our only new accomplishment is screaming. Yes I said screaming. Him and little sis L love to start growling at each other (especially in the car) and then they get into who can yell the loudest. Not the funnest thing when you are stuck in a car together!
Little sis L is getting to be a big girl. Daddy called the other day and as soon as she heard his voice started yelling daddy dadddddy daddddddy until I handed her the phone. She promply started talking away. I think she is taking daddy being gone the hardest. Daddy was surprised how much more she is talking in sentence's now. Although I had not noticed until he mentioned it. Yes now my little girl tells everyone: I eelin ( I'm L), daddy i-ack (daddy's in Iraq), and loves to name boby parts...my feeeet, mommies air (mommies hair) eelin eck (L neck) etc. She has also learned to count. Doesn't always get it right but we've gotten to ten mostly down.
That's it for the kiddies I think. As for the happy and sad news of the family. We had to give our family pet, Zoe away. Some how she manged to get away from the new owners and was hit by a car. Because she was still microchipped with my info they called me. After trying to take of her for a week we ended up having to put her to sleep. It was very hard but I think the best choice for her. But we did end up getting a new family pet.......drum roll please.....and everyone welcome Rocky to the family. He is the cutest boxer you have every seen. And good news he gets along with all of the kiddies. Although we have been having a problem with him going to the bathroom in the house we are working on that.
So there's my fly by of what has been going on the last four weeks here. Hopefully I will keep up with this more often than what I have been. Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!

As for the family well lets just say its summertime and the kiddies are driving mommy CRAZY! Yesterday M and her friends across the street bring me a baby bird....yes you guessed it she wanted to keep it for a pet! Like I know what to feed baby birds....and who is suppose to teach this thing to fly???? I mean I have one I'm potty training, one I'm teaching to stand up on his own (and eventually walk) and one I just trying to teach to clean up after herself. Like I have time to teach a baby bird to fly LOL. Anyways hubby and I took it to a bird rescue center last night. That was pretty neat they had a ton of birds, including a hawk and an owl they can't release back into the wild so they are training to take them to schools in the area for education! It was really neat to see. I think I will take the kids sometime...they would probably enjoy that.
Well enough of my constant rambling....I will post ya'll later!

More Vaccation Adventures- Part two
M was all over the place from the dinosaur's to the craft area and back she just loved running around trying everything....her favorite part.....ummmm I'm not sure I couldn't catch up with her!
L loved the water play area. We couldn't get her away from the water and the few seconds that we did drag her away she would run right back to it as soon as she could slip away from us. But then again L is our little fish always yelling for "waaaer, waaaer, waaaer".
As for Baby C well he just went along for the ride...he had fun digging with his dump truck, riding in the car, and playing in the water....what ever mommy would take him to he just smiled away.
After the Children's museum we walked next door to the Science museum where we got to try all sorts of neat experiments. One of the best parts was the astronaut seats: this is where you sit in a seat and try to steer it around like you are on a space shuttle trying to dock. It was great! I helped M while Enana helped L and we all had a good laugh. But I think what the kids loved the best was going to the lab! Here we got to watch how they taught rats how to play basketball...yes you read right no typo here....play BASKETBALL. Afterwards the kids got to pet the rats. Let just say baby C was all smiles with that.
Well that about ends this adventure....stay tuned and soon I will post all about our adventure at the airshow!
Please look above for all of the pictures from this day's vacation adventure!

Let the Swapping begin!
So here is the swapping concept. You go to the website and sign up (absolutly free) and then you pick the swaps that you are interested in and join. They have swaps that range from writing letters, to burning music CDS, to sewing, to making ATC (artist trading cards), to you name it. If you don't find a swap that you like you can always start your own! I currently am in 4 different swaps! YEAH! My first to have just begin....my soap sway: I send a bar of my favorite soap to my partener (yes it must be a new bar people!) and my international arm chair traveler: where I write a letter about my home town, which I have also picked up some postcards to send along also. I am so excited! I can't wait to receive my swaps in the mail and make new friends.
So if you are interested in trying out this new adventure of mine please just click on the headline above or head over to my blog buddies and I will add a link there also. One swap I suggest is one called "Any soldier". This is where you pick a soldier who is overseas and you send him/her a care package. To your partner you send a picture of the care package and short letter explaining what you sent or why. This hits close to home for me for those of you who know me. If you would just like to help out our men and women in the military but not join the whole swap thing please visit the website www.anysoldier.com. There you can pick any branch of the military or even a certain group (IE from a certain state, base, or even search for certain key words like: dogs, crafts etc) On this site Military members volunteer to receive packages for a group of people and pass them out to everyone or whoever needs it. You will definitely find me there when ever I get the chance to send out a package!
Well everyone have a good day and start SWAPPING!

Taggie Blankets
These are great for enhancing a child's development and sense of security by offering tactile, visual and developmental stimulation that soothes and comforts. By focusing on the “whole child”, it positively impacts a child’s emotional health. A good friend of mine was wonderful in helping me out, by making this blanket for me. I had been looking for a blanket big enough to cover my little one but the biggest taggie I was able to find was 12 X 12 and they wanted 24.95 (before shipping) for it. This blanket itself is 30 X 30 and I was able to pick out the exact fabric color, texture and theme that I wanted.
Also unique to her blankets is the fact that she adds the tags to the inside of the blanket for your little enjoyment. Most taggie blankets only have the tags around the outside. If you are interested in getting one of these blankets made for you little one please feel free to contact my friend at: smgraham82@yahoo.com You can either pick out the fabric yourself and send it to her or just give her an idea of what you are looking for....color, print, material, design etc. Her prices are as follows:
32 X 32 : $20 plus fabric cost
16 X 16 : $15 plus fabric cost
8 X 8 : $10 plus fabric cost
Please email her with any questions you may have. I know my little one loves his blanket and yours will also.

Feeding frenzy
Now of course little brother couldn't have all of the fun so big sister had to join in and make sure he didn't feel bad about making such a mess.
