A little crazy around here.

Well sorry I haven't been posting lately...its been crazy around here. So starting with me YES I finally started my job at the hospital. And when I say finally I mean it only took me 6 months to get in! It has been great, great, great. Everyone is wonderful to work with and so far I actually enjoy going in to work. Who could ask for more?

I can't believe hubby has been gone a month already. It seems like the time is flying by. Maybe because we have been so super busy....so here's a real quick fly by of what has been going on here:

M started kindergarden (wahoo) and seems to really like it. She even rides the bus and walks home from the bus stop by herself. Well okay the bus stop is only two houses away but still that's big news for a five year old! LOL

Baby C is growing, growing, growing! He turns one in a couple of days and I can't believe that its been a year since he was born. He's crawling like a champ now and always speeds to get outside when anyone opens the door. Besides that our only new accomplishment is screaming. Yes I said screaming. Him and little sis L love to start growling at each other (especially in the car) and then they get into who can yell the loudest. Not the funnest thing when you are stuck in a car together!

Little sis L is getting to be a big girl. Daddy called the other day and as soon as she heard his voice started yelling daddy dadddddy daddddddy until I handed her the phone. She promply started talking away. I think she is taking daddy being gone the hardest. Daddy was surprised how much more she is talking in sentence's now. Although I had not noticed until he mentioned it. Yes now my little girl tells everyone: I eelin ( I'm L), daddy i-ack (daddy's in Iraq), and loves to name boby parts...my feeeet, mommies air (mommies hair) eelin eck (L neck) etc. She has also learned to count. Doesn't always get it right but we've gotten to ten mostly down.

That's it for the kiddies I think. As for the happy and sad news of the family. We had to give our family pet, Zoe away. Some how she manged to get away from the new owners and was hit by a car. Because she was still microchipped with my info they called me. After trying to take of her for a week we ended up having to put her to sleep. It was very hard but I think the best choice for her. But we did end up getting a new family pet.......drum roll please.....and everyone welcome Rocky to the family. He is the cutest boxer you have every seen. And good news he gets along with all of the kiddies. Although we have been having a problem with him going to the bathroom in the house we are working on that.

So there's my fly by of what has been going on the last four weeks here. Hopefully I will keep up with this more often than what I have been. Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!

Well as sad as I am to see the Bloggy giveaway quartely carnival come to an end I am just as excited about the WINNERS! I am happy to announce that I decided at the last minute to have two winners. So for the first winner I asked my sister to pick a number for me (little did she know what I was up to LOL) and the winner she picked was....drum roll please...brines.

The second winner I went a little more practiley since I couldn't ask my 5 year old to pick and number between 1 and 87 I went to random.org and the winner is....hairline fracture.

I have emailed both winners and they have three days to respond...if I don't get a response in three days I will go ahead and pick another winner. Thank you to everyone who commented on my pendants and hair bobbies. I can't wait to do another giveaway!

So I've surrived the last two days on my own. When all of a sudden it hit me today....I don't think I've ever had to take care of all 3 of my kids by myself before. Lets see our first nanny arrived shortly before baby C arrived and we've had one ever since. Well there was those four days (or was it just the weekend that felt like four days long) that I had the kids by myself. Last night and tonight I've had the worst headache...I mean to the point of being nausous! I wonder if that would have something to do with hubby not even being gone a week yet and my oldest M has been on a rampage breaking things. Like the baby pool I've only used once! Yes I guess I wasn't very clear when I said "don't touch the pool I will be out to hook it up in a minute". So much to my surprise I guess a minute was to long for M to wait and sure enough she put the hose on the pool and turned the hose on full force and blew a hole in it. So last night when she walked out of her room with the curtains and said they just fell down I had a sneaking suppision that she helped them to just fall down. Oh and she might just have helped the vinyl sign that had her and her sisters name on it to fall down also (considering it was in a ball). I mean could you wait for a better time or what. But all in all we are all still living so that's got to count for something right LOL.

7/26/08

So today was the typical day in my household. Well except for my husband being gone, me getting back from my Grandfather's funeral late friday night and the two day trip from....well that place that is really, really hot. Oh then to top it all off I was up at 4AM to get my nanny (ie the lifesaver of this family) to the airport....because yes you've guessed it she flew home on vacation for two weeks! Not to mention I was on my own with me three kids but also my neighbor's 3 kids who by the way she was in the hosptial having her new little one YEA (welcome to the world!). So if you don't take all that in to consideration today was my naormal usually uneventful life LOL!

Baby C learned to wave hello and goodbye all at once. He loved his new trick and giggled everytime he would open and close his little fist and I would say "hello". Then he would get all excited and start waving his hand back and forth and I would say "goodbye". So when I finally was able to drag myself to bed that night it was not much of a surprose to find L in my bed....in my bed diaperless....in my bed diaperless and covered in permant black marker....in my bed diaperless, covered in black marker and surrounded by black permant marker all over my sheets! Oh how adorable and cute are my kids :o)

My Life

Well hello how is everyone doing? I have been keeping busy here with lots of new and exciting adventures. As you know I joined swap bot and have been having fun swapping away. Its nice to get little surprises in the mail every now and then. If that wasn't enough fun I've opened my own etsy store: Blessed with 3 kids! Well actually the grand opening hasn't happened yet as I am still trying to make the necklaces to sell. You can see a few of the items I have completed if you look on the left of my blog page at the etsy store window. Feel free to visit the store and browse around....Keep checking back as new items will be added daily. I will also write a post when we have our grand opening and the first ten people to purchase an item will receive a free gift!
Now more fun for you to look forward to is Bloggy giveaways quarterly carnival!!! Yes it is here again YEAH!!! This time around I think I am going to join and have a giveaway of my own right here on my blogspot. So write the dates down and don't forget to come back Between July 28th and August 1st. Who knows you could win something for free and that is always nice! Don't forget to check out Bloggy giveaways site that week to enter the many giveaways they will have. You can find a link to their page under my Bloggy buddies.

As for the family well lets just say its summertime and the kiddies are driving mommy CRAZY! Yesterday M and her friends across the street bring me a baby bird....yes you guessed it she wanted to keep it for a pet! Like I know what to feed baby birds....and who is suppose to teach this thing to fly???? I mean I have one I'm potty training, one I'm teaching to stand up on his own (and eventually walk) and one I just trying to teach to clean up after herself. Like I have time to teach a baby bird to fly LOL. Anyways hubby and I took it to a bird rescue center last night. That was pretty neat they had a ton of birds, including a hawk and an owl they can't release back into the wild so they are training to take them to schools in the area for education! It was really neat to see. I think I will take the kids sometime...they would probably enjoy that.

Well enough of my constant rambling....I will post ya'll later!

More Vaccation Adventures- Part two

Hello everyone I am back...sorry to keep you in suspense for so long but here is another of our exciting vacation adventures! We started off at the Children's Museum in Richmond VA where the kids had a BLAST! It was small but packed full of fun for the little one's.

M was all over the place from the dinosaur's to the craft area and back she just loved running around trying everything....her favorite part.....ummmm I'm not sure I couldn't catch up with her!

L loved the water play area. We couldn't get her away from the water and the few seconds that we did drag her away she would run right back to it as soon as she could slip away from us. But then again L is our little fish always yelling for "waaaer, waaaer, waaaer".

As for Baby C well he just went along for the ride...he had fun digging with his dump truck, riding in the car, and playing in the water....what ever mommy would take him to he just smiled away.

After the Children's museum we walked next door to the Science museum where we got to try all sorts of neat experiments. One of the best parts was the astronaut seats: this is where you sit in a seat and try to steer it around like you are on a space shuttle trying to dock. It was great! I helped M while Enana helped L and we all had a good laugh. But I think what the kids loved the best was going to the lab! Here we got to watch how they taught rats how to play basketball...yes you read right no typo here....play BASKETBALL. Afterwards the kids got to pet the rats. Let just say baby C was all smiles with that.

Well that about ends this adventure....stay tuned and soon I will post all about our adventure at the airshow!

Please look above for all of the pictures from this day's vacation adventure!

Me and My Daddy!

Hello everyone.....I just wanted to write and let you know that DADDY is HOME! We are all so very happy to see him. Mommy has been keeping busy with Daddy now being home. so you are going to have to excuse her for not updating her blog as often as she would like. But soon things will get back to normal and there will be lots of post. Here is a sneak peek at what post are to come (shhh don't let mommy know that I told you!)

Come back and join us to see Big Sis's end of the year preschool performance...we all had a ton of fun watching her and the pup team sing "down by the sea" and "the wheels on the bus". I couldn't stop staring.

There's more to come from the vacation that never ended.....watch out for the pictures of the airshow, the kids museum (now that was fun!), the marine museum and visiting family!

Let the Swapping begin!

EXCITED! EXCITED! EXCITED! Just doesn't begin to describe how much I am looking forward to this new adventure of mine. For those of you who are just as tired of getting the mail on a daily basesas I am due to it's content (yes the never ending junk mail, advertisements and bills, bills, bills) here is a website for you. Here is a place to meet friendly new people and start making you look forward to going to your mail box again without having to spend tons of money! Yes I have tried ordering stuff from on-line to make to actually want to go check my mail....but people the cost is killing me. If I place another order at gymboree I think my husband may just disown me LOL.

So here is the swapping concept. You go to the website and sign up (absolutly free) and then you pick the swaps that you are interested in and join. They have swaps that range from writing letters, to burning music CDS, to sewing, to making ATC (artist trading cards), to you name it. If you don't find a swap that you like you can always start your own! I currently am in 4 different swaps! YEAH! My first to have just begin....my soap sway: I send a bar of my favorite soap to my partener (yes it must be a new bar people!) and my international arm chair traveler: where I write a letter about my home town, which I have also picked up some postcards to send along also. I am so excited! I can't wait to receive my swaps in the mail and make new friends.

So if you are interested in trying out this new adventure of mine please just click on the headline above or head over to my blog buddies and I will add a link there also. One swap I suggest is one called "Any soldier". This is where you pick a soldier who is overseas and you send him/her a care package. To your partner you send a picture of the care package and short letter explaining what you sent or why. This hits close to home for me for those of you who know me. If you would just like to help out our men and women in the military but not join the whole swap thing please visit the website www.anysoldier.com. There you can pick any branch of the military or even a certain group (IE from a certain state, base, or even search for certain key words like: dogs, crafts etc) On this site Military members volunteer to receive packages for a group of people and pass them out to everyone or whoever needs it. You will definitely find me there when ever I get the chance to send out a package!

Well everyone have a good day and start SWAPPING!

All in one day!

Taggie Blankets

To all of you out there who have little one's I wanted to share with you these wonderful taggie blankets....and when I say blankets I mean blankets big enough to cover your little one not just a tiny square they can hold on to. Those of you who don't know what taggie blankets are here is a picture of the one I had made for my little man.

These are great for enhancing a child's development and sense of security by offering tactile, visual and developmental stimulation that soothes and comforts. By focusing on the “whole child”, it positively impacts a child’s emotional health. A good friend of mine was wonderful in helping me out, by making this blanket for me. I had been looking for a blanket big enough to cover my little one but the biggest taggie I was able to find was 12 X 12 and they wanted 24.95 (before shipping) for it. This blanket itself is 30 X 30 and I was able to pick out the exact fabric color, texture and theme that I wanted.

Also unique to her blankets is the fact that she adds the tags to the inside of the blanket for your little enjoyment. Most taggie blankets only have the tags around the outside. If you are interested in getting one of these blankets made for you little one please feel free to contact my friend at: smgraham82@yahoo.com You can either pick out the fabric yourself and send it to her or just give her an idea of what you are looking for....color, print, material, design etc. Her prices are as follows:

32 X 32 : $20 plus fabric cost

16 X 16 : $15 plus fabric cost

8 X 8 : $10 plus fabric cost

Please email her with any questions you may have. I know my little one loves his blanket and yours will also.

All in 1 day

Well here begins our vacation fun. Day one we decided to visit the Holocaust museum in Washington DC. Its not really a kid friendly place to visit although there is one area called Daniels story where kids can walk thru the life of a little boy Daniel. You go thru his house all the way thru to when he entered a concentration camp to the end of the war. The kids can see and touch different objects like his bed, toys, etc and they have activities through out like finding objects Daniels hidden. It was pretty neat.

From the Holocaust museum we walked towards the Momument (or as I used to call it as a child "the big pencil". Took one quick look and then moved on. We stopped off to visit the World War II memorial on our way to the Jefferson memorial...and yes we are still walking! We did take a break to feed some ducks and watch a family of geese for a few minutes. The girls loved it....we had a hard time getting them away. At one point in time I was feeding them out crackers out of my hands. One got brave enough and went to grab some food from L's hand...the only problem was she didn't have anything in her hand so the goose just got a taste of her fingers. Of course they were both a little puzzled, L just kept looking at her hand and then back to the goose and the goose had the same expression of what is going on here, your suppose to be feeding me!

After pursuading the kids to leave we headed on over to the Jefferson memorial. Of course everyone was tired and cranky at this point but I did get a couple of quick snapshots that turned out good. So all in all it was a great day, except for the miles and miles of walking we did I think everyone had fun!

DAY ONE COMPLETE!

We are home!

Well for those of you who have missed us we are finally home! YEAH! Our planned week visit to family turned into an impromptu three week stay! But it was nice visiting family, relaxing and last but not least watching cable!!! For those of you who don't know me....we do not have cable, therefore we do not get any TV reception at all. So when I get a chance to watch cable you will not see me passing up the chance LOL. The kids loved visiting the zoo and the museums...I'm pretty sure that was what all the whining was about...and the airshow was a hit....or maybe it was the fact that they got to sit on the roof of daddy's truck....SHHH don't tell daddy! Come back soon and visit us as I am sure I will be posting lots of pictures from our vacation and they funny hilarious stories that goes along with them.

Feeding frenzy

Okay so I know I am behind and all but I think that comes with having three kids. With my first I had her eating baby food at 4 months....with my second it was a little later maybe around 5 months or so. But I have to admit with my third I am being just plain lazy. Here he is a little over 7 months old and I am just starting him on baby food.

And just so you know how he feels about my
lazziness I was able to snap a picture of him
when his experssion said exactily how he felt.

Now of course little brother couldn't have all of the fun so big sister had to join in and make sure he didn't feel bad about making such a mess.

My Little Model

Sleeping Angels

They never seem as
sweet and innocent
as they do when
they are sleeping!

Okay so now I am one of those mommies that have the nightly routine of "tucking" all my sleeping angels in before I head to bed. And I am not ashamed to admit I LOVE IT! There is nothing sweeter than at the end of the day going into your kids room and watching them as they sleep. Pulling the covers up and placing one more kiss on their cheek before heading off to enter your own world of sweet dreams. I actually look forward to this moment in the evening! No more whinning, screaming, yelling, pinching, or "mommy she...." Just three sweet little angel faces.
